7 Books Leaders Should Read Next – Sheena Saydam for Middleton Elite Coaching
DC Metro area real estate team leader and philanthropist Sheena Saydam of Saydam Properties Group is an avid reader and all-around incredible human. She is a mom of three, a wife, the managing partner of DC’s #1 top-producing KW team (2022), and a prominent community activist. Her charitable efforts in her community and beyond have positioned Sheena as a respected leader and businesswoman.
When asked how she can be productive and read a book weekly, Sheena credited always having a physical book near her as one way she has prioritized reading. She says she will often take books with her on a car ride (passenger, of course), on flights, and during travel. Sheena says that besides reading while cooking (a talent in its own right), she reads 50 pages or more each night after her kids are asleep.
We are enjoying the list of 7 books Sheena recommends all productive, growth-minded leaders should read next. You can watch this video of Sheena commenting on why each of these books is among her favorites.

The Books That Shaped Our Real Estate Coaching Business
We’ve built a business we’re proud of. Did we build it overnight? No. We’re continually learning, growing, and building our castle of possibilities. We seek the guidance of knowledgeable people, coaches, mentors, speakers, educators, and authors to shape and mold our systems and processes. We use their expertise to challenge our thinking and refine various business elements.
We’re also big fans of books, both paper and audio types. We plan to do some reading over our upcoming spring break and hope you’ll find our recommended reading list timely, too.
This list of books exemplifies the principles we believe top agents and team leaders should consider building their businesses around.

Building, Leading and Retaining an Elite Real Estate Sales Team
The primary reasons for building a business are that you’d like to have more time, more money, or both.
Middleton Elite Coaching works with top-producing real estate agents, teams, and brokerage firms at different stages of building their businesses.
“Wow, I’m starting to build something”
“Wow, I’ve really built something and need leverage to build more!”
“Wow, I’m selling a lot of houses, I’m really tired, and I need to recruit more people. What should I do?”
Whether you are an agent looking to build a team or a team leader looking to grow your team, we can guide you through it.

How To Recruit Your Ideal Real Estate Agent
Great companies attract great people. To recruit your ideal agent, you must first be their ideal team or brokerage. You can do so through an effective recruiting model, a strong value proposition, recruiting the right levels of talent, and with the systems and added tools to help them reach their desired levels of success with your company.
The foundation of recruiting begins with establishing rapport and lowering the candidate’s guard about “being recruited.” Your success depends on the candidate:
1. Liking you
2. Trusting you
3. Believing you can help them get to the next level in their business
